U.S. News Ranks Rye High School in Top 100
U.S. News and World Report released its annual ranking of U.S. high schools last week and placed Rye High School at No. 52. Other Westchester high schools in the top 100 were Edgemont (28), Chappaqua (29), Scarsdale (55), Rye Brook (75), and Irvington (91).
The U.S. News poll weights various factors (test scores, minority enrollment, income levels, etc.) to arrive at its results. Notably absent from the top 100 were some highly regarded Westchester schools such as Bronxville, Briarcliff Manor and Byram Hills.

There are three "neighborhood" elementary schools, a Middle School and a High School. The majority of Rye's graduates go on to higher education. Resurrection School offers parochial education at the nursery and elementary school levels (Pre-K through 8th grade). In addition, Rye Country Day School provides the alternative of private education for Pre-K through 12th grade. The Greenhaven section of Rye is serviced by the Rye-Neck School District.
